Tajze Johnson, MHA, COTA/L
Dr. Tajze Johnson is a recent graduate of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Methodist University, having completed his degree in May 2024. His areas of interest include enhancing the quality of life for patients with end-stage renal disease and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in occupational therapy education. Alongside his academic achievements, Dr. Johnson works as an occupational therapist across multiple settings.
Before embarking on his career in occupational therapy, he served in the North Carolina Department of Corrections, worked as a residential counselor with Thompson Family Services, and was a general manager at AutoZone. Dr. Johnson holds an Associate Degree from Finger Lakes Community College, a Bachelor of Arts from Belmont Abbey College, a Master of Health Administration from Purdue University, and an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Career College.
We met in 2019, a few months before Tajze found out he was going to start dialysis soon. We are not a "normal" couple, and we are okay with that. In December 2021, Tajze proposed, so WE'RE ENGAGED! We would love for our wedding to be a celebration of love and life, with Tajze having had his transplant. Please help us make that happen!
